Currently coaching in the Hong Kong Premier League, the former NPL Queensland Head Coach joins a host of other football professionals already announced, including Caltex Socceroos Head Coach Graham Arnold, renowned football analyst Craig Foster and former England manager Hope Powell OBE, CBE.

Boasting over a decade of coaching experience, Harvey has worked internationally at Loughborough University, Notts County FC and Rotherham United FC, and for domestic clubs including Western Pride FC, Brisbane Strikers FC and Whitsunday Miners.

He has also held various education positions including Coach Developer AFC and B License at Football Federation Australia (FFA) and Football Queensland (FQ), Education Coordinator at Leicester City FC and Derby County FC, and Age Group Coordinator for GPS School Football.

At IFCCA, Harvey will present on the topic ‘NPL to Asia – The Alternative Pathway’, drawing on his recent experiences moving from the NPL Queensland’s Western Pride to Hong Kong’s Eastern Long Lions Football Club. The experienced coach said he was looking forward to attending the conference and sharing his coaching story with conference delegates. "I’m humbled and excited to be attending the IFCCA Conference and sharing my coaching journey across three continents,” Harvey said.

“I hope to contribute first hand experiences to coaches who are considering Asia as a coaching pathway.”

Instrumental in teams achieving success, Harvey led Western Pride to the 2017 National Premier Leagues (NPL) Queensland Championship and the U18 team to a premiership, and was named Ipswich City Council Coach of the Year in 2016.

Harvey also took the Whitsunday Miners to their first finals appearance in 2011, and the year after led the team to the Queensland State League Grand Final.

At IFCCA, Harvey will discuss his pathway from NPL Queensland Head Coach to the Hong Kong Premier League, giving delegates an insight into how they too can progress their career both at a domestic level and internationally. Learn more about Harvey here.
